I would just like to say at the end of my first year on here , how much I’ve enjoyed it.A big thankyou to all my goyer friends who have helped and supported me.
I would also like to say a special thankyou to my dear friend Elizabeth (Libet)who I would never have met if it wasn’t for goy. She has been my rock.
I have enjoyed reading all your blogs, many made me smile and many gave me ideas .In fact I wonder now what I did before goy.I’m going to stop there as I’m in danger of getting too soppy!
I hope you all get what you wish for at Christmas. xxx
I dressed the wreath up today with evergreens from the garden, plus the cones from our trees and finished it off with ribbons, e.t.c. It took a couple of hours to do and then put it on the door. The daughter and grandaughter came today and I said , “what do you think of the wreath” “what wreath” they replied!

Isn't it just, Sticki! That turned out really nicely, didn't it Rose?! It's much bigger than I thought you were going to make, gosh! it must have taken ages, and it's all the better for having made it with your own fair hands! Is it on your front door? Or did you make it for indoors? You really should have been a florist! Lol!
You're a lovely friend, Rose, I'm so pleased to have met you and all the other lovely folk on Goy! Rachel and Maddison should have gone to S...Savers!! Oh heck! I've just realised that you've already said in your blog that you put it on the door! I'll have to go and get new glasses too! I'm such a twerp! Lol! ;0)

Your mantelshelf is lovely too Rose. Its almost the end of my first year too, and it seems like I've been here for much longer. I have never come across a group of friendlier more helpful people, always ready to help and encourage and not to criticise. No wonder its addictive!
Hope you have a lovely Christmas.

Happy Christmas, Rose! I can't believe I've only been with GoY for about three months now - it's changed my life, for sure. You're right to use the word addictive, Steragram - it describes it perfectly!

A very happy Christmas to you too Rose..and thank you too for the lovely welcome message you sent shortly after I joined GoY a few months ago.
This is the best on-line community there is. I love the Advice, the stunning gardens, amazing pictures and the warm spirit of the GoYers...a few laughs in the mix as well, Perfect!

Well, what can I say to all of this. Thankyou everyone.I thought it was time i showed my face , although I do believe you would have seen it on the trip around Ovacik in Turkey.I thought it was a funny picture as I was concentrating on holding the wreath and trying to look at you all at the same time.Yes Santa is sitting on the floor shirley, but there is only one house on the mantelpiece, one is a train and carriages with Santa driving the train, the other is a fireplace with santa at the front and there was another, but I don't think you could see that.Apart from the house, all the others were presents.I love your sense of humour Hywell!
