Photographic Exhibition at Suntrap

Oatridge College was to leave Suntrap at the end of August. Because of ongoing conversations between them and the National Trust for Scotland this is not now expected to happen until the end of October. The Friends of Suntrap and members of groups who use Suntrap are trying to ensure the garden is kept in some sort of condition since the gardeners all left at the end of August. They will also have to come up with a business plan to encourage more visitors to the Garden. One suggestion was to hold exhibitions etc at the garden and they have secured their first event.
After the success of his photos of Edinburgh exhibition at the Regent Morris has transferred it to Suntrap Gardens. You can see it in the classroom 7 days a week 10am-4pm until the end October. There are more details and a preview of his work on the website www.edinburghpastandpresent.com The gardens are well worth a visit and it is run by volunteers.

Thank you all for your support. It is wonderful that people are so generous with their time and are prepared to help save the garden. This has not only generated interest in visiting the garden but we have had another offer from a potential volunteer. It is all very heartening.
