My recycled chimney stones rockery with some help from my GOY friends.

When we had to have a chimney stack dismantled and rebuilt because a crack appeared after harsh weather I asked the builders to leave me the rubbish as I would recycle it all somehow. I made a rockery near the back door. It is in the pink now. The geranium was grown from seed sent from Canada by Beaulieu. The cyclamen was a gift from Bjs and the little pink plants came from Pcw (sorry I cr the names of them) so truly a GOY effort. Thank you all. I hope you enjoy what became of your gifts.
Just found the name of the plant in the next two photos. Centaurium scilloides
Thank you Bjs for the name of the cyclamen – C. purpurescens

My garden is full of friends including the Buddleia 'Sungold which you sent to me. It is now 10ft. tall. I did not cut it back last year as I was too busy. It is in flower now.

Thank you Bjs I will make up a label for it now. It is a smashing wee plant and seems to love where it is, tucked under the stone aka a lump of concrete.
Yes it is Steragram.

Gardeners are a special “breed”. Always willing to share information and plants.

You found a good use for the rubble. GoY is a great place for sharing plants :)

Hywel it only took me 40+ years to get around to filling that space. It was a concrete pond 1' deep when we bought the property. As we had a very inquisitive and adventurous two year old at the time I got OH to punch holes in it to drain it. I'm pleased with the result. The Goy members gifts were crying out for a space to call home and they give me a real lift as I go out and in the back door. Since I joined Goy I have learned so much because members are very generous in sharing both plants and information.

Our gardens change all the time. It's good that you've found somewhere for the plants.

What a lovely idea ... re-cycling at its best.
