My Youngster in the garden.

When I got home on Friday after a particular hard day I couldnt understand why youngest girl aged 15 kept smiling at me.
I suspected she was after a day shopping on Saturday. It was a glorious blue skyed day and after her riding lesson in the morning she did indeed ask to go to the Range to look for a new picture for her room and new bedding to match the decor.
Oh they have a garden section too :o))))
Iris Alida and Pixie and a hydrangea ‘Red disc’ also came home with us.
We duly did go shopping and we were very successful and on our return home Toria asked if we could have a wander round the garden. Not really like her.
But I know why now :o) She walked to a local gc and picked these up and planted them up for me. How come I didnt notice them? Well reversing into the drive I have to keep my eye on the van on my left. When you get out of the car you cant see the front of the house.
Trough primula and the foliage from a Dianthus deltoides Arctic fire or is it Arctic Ice. Must have a look later.
Mangers: Viola and primula to flower while waiting for the tulips to grow.
Oh and I picked these up, whilst she was riding, from the local market.
So what a lovely surprise and she had been plotting this with her dad for a week or two. So smiles of secrecy not sucking up.
And today RAINING again, but at least its not the snow that is threatened.

Oh how nice!
I used to go horseriding, absolutly loved it.....
College intervened and didn't really get back to riding regularly.
We have the rain too, the whole of the day windy and cold as well but your spring flowers are very cheerful x

I have a hanging basket of violas that I can see from the kitchen window, so while I've been preparing the tea I can look at them too.

How lovely, no wonder she was smiling, surprises of that nature are mean so much, its not just the fact that she bought them its also that she planted them all up for you and made a good job of it as well, is she interested in gardening Seaburn.
Very nice purchases on your shopping trip as well, are they part of the planting ideas for your revamped bed?..

She blows hot and cold where the gardening is concerned. She enjoys sow seed and planting bulbs but doesnt enjoy weeding etc.
I think the cyclamen are destined for the revamped bed. Not sure where the hydrangea will go, I have a few options open to me.

Beware children bearing gifts!!!!
They do look lovely though and I am impressed with the tray of C. coum - at a good price I assume as you bought nine of them.

How very sweet of her, if I came home to this I'd be very pleased and if I came home to all those smiles - I'd be wondering what's been broken :)
Those little dianthus are smashing - I had it flower all summer last - they've chosen well, as did you with the Cyclamen.

She did do a wonderful job of planting and those tulips are not going to be very long before you see what she bought to underplant the primulas etc.

she did considering there are tulips just showing. They dont appear to have been damaged.
She made me lunch yesterday while I was digging the roots from the ongoing revamp of the conifer bed.

Well done both of you.
