1 more sleep!

As many of you know daughter Victoria gets married this month. Well in her words 1 more sleep, ie tomorrow!
She has been home since Friday and we have been slowly checking that everything is in place. Saturday was hair trial, Monday was pedicure, today is manicure and tomorrow the big day. We have had a lovely time and her big sister Elizabeth, who married in October came over last night for a make up trial. All going well.
The garden isn’t looking too shabby either, though better from a distance.
The back door, which is actually the main door, complete with the main sink from the lab I worked in before they rebuilt the school.
The beginning of the garden on the left as you walk out the door towards the street.
The gate end of the same border. I noticed bind weed re-emerging grrr.
If you then turn and face back towards the house you have the border in front of the house, this is my red, orange and yellow border. Husband hasn’t done the edges very well but I ’m not doing them today.
Nearest to the drive is this lovely clump of plants and yes that is a dandelion. Excellent for the insects and the goldfinches feed on the seeds.
Further along the border there are tulips in pots as well as in the ground.
This is Tulip Doberman and there are pots of them as I wasn’t sure if I’d like them. Victoria chose them initially.
Far corner of the border with a good mix of plants.
Round the corner takes us to the gate that separates front and back garden. Right hand side full sun, left hand side shade due to the neighbours trees and our fence.
Turning 180 degrees so you are facing the street again there is a mixed border, some would say very mixed as there are a few British wildflowers in there, for the moths, honest!
Then the front wall border with atrocity corner, still waiting my attention, looking to the right .
Finally the same border looking to the left and the gates.
All we need now is for the rain to stay off until 5pm when we will all be back indoors. Fingers crossed for a good night’s sleep.

Best Wishes for today Eileen and Many Congratulations to the Happy Couple xxx.....
No matter what the weather does it is going to be one very special day, your garden looks amazing and I've enjoyed reading about all the preparations...
One of the things I've always loved is the fact you have spoken about your girls so many times over the years that it feels as though we know them, that is Goy friendships, watching families grow up, I'm excited to continue to hearing about their lives and yours in the future ...xxx

Thank you for all the lovely comments and best wishes. No photos as yet, waiting for family to send me any they have.
The ceremony was outside and the sun shone, skylarks sang and a bumble bee landed on the registry paper work. Perfect for wildlife conservationists/ecologists.
It was a beautiful and happy day and I only had 1 glass of prosecco as I was doing various driving duties later. But I am sooo tired today.
