plants in my house

I was bought a schlumbergia many years by a young man who was ‘in my care’ and it is still going strong in a number of pots. Every time a piece got knocked off, usually by the curtains, I stuffed the piece into compost. I must have about 10 of them now. The magic of botany is they all flower at the same time.
I also have 4 different colours of african violets. But they are nearly over now. but I thought I’d show you 2 of them.
The first is a white and violet flowered one.
The second one is a pale pink and white one. It was a 50th birthday present from my then 11yr old daughter. She got upset when she found she had snapped a leaf off. I stuck it into a pot of compost and there are now about 10 plantlets. These are in the front pot of the two in the next photo. In fact I should pot them on.
The cyclamen is a home grown one, from seed from my late mum’s plant which has white flowers. This one will be frilly deep pink.
I do have a few other plants but I will save them for another day.

Looking forward to seeing your house plants, cyclamen and African violets are two of my favorites. I have a couple but I dont have many window-ledges in this bungalow only the bathroom kitchen and bedroom apart from the conservatory which is cooler this time of year. Just noticed your name!! is that where your from? its not a million miles from me.

I have a xmas cactus, I didn't know you could get new plants by potting up pieces of the original! I'm going to have a go at that.

yes just snap off the end segment and pop the snapped end into compost. keep slightly moist and you are away! dead easy.

Found a hot pink christmas cactus "Cyber Dancer" last year on sale with no buds: flowered a little off and on all year, and from mid Oct to end November outdid itself with hundreds of blossoms: incredible! Do they want to be fed often?
