Baskets!

Been busy potting up my baskets for summer, haven’t hung them up yet as its still a bit cool at night, they are tucked up behind a glass door wrapped in newspaper!! Hubby says they get better tended than he does….Aw shame lol!!!
This morning is beautiful and its WARM!! see the temperature gauge on my shed!!! This was at 10.30 am today
Everything is opening now, few surprises that i had forgotten i’d planted! I bought a collection of hardy geraniums (no names) and they are all coming up nicely, this is just one in flower at the moment, the others all have buds.
The Aqueligias are coming into their own now..one of my favourite flowers and they pop up all over :) you never know what they will be like unless they are a named variety.
I have a holly in the garden right at the bottom that was here when we moved in 21 years ago (that long ago??) It is a male i presume as it never has berries :(, but its covered in little white flowers this year, they are quite pretty close up!
Isn’t nature wonderful?

I agree! I'm trying to count how many plants you have in your baskets and what size the baskets are?........:o)

I`ve got mine potted up ready as well SK but your plants are so much bigger than mine, but like you not ready to hang them out yet.

I have done my baskets today. 10 in total. I got them second hand so I only had to buy some plants. They are now up the tree as it has been very mild down here in the south.

oh don't know how many plants i've put in Dylan, the baskets are approx 10'' across the top, there are a couple of Trailing Fuschias in the first one and some trailing lobelia, the others have a Fuschia in the centre and some Surfinas round the edge plus an ivy and some trailing lobelia, will put more photos on as they grow :)

I hope it's ok over this way for the hanging baskets as I have done one for the front today and couple of left over geraniums went in a hanging pot. Unfortunately I don't have anywhere safe from the hounds to keep the basket so am having to take pot luck.
Love the temperature gauge, I have couple of outdoors thermometers which are sooooooo hard to read

Your holly must be a male - I can see the anthers. (or it could be a female with no male to polinate it, - but I can see the anthers)

Yes am pretty sure its a male Hywel, its full of flower this year never seen so many, there are a few Hollies round here it never gets berries i ought to get a female really to keep him happy !!!!
