Well after saying how well packed the Clematis was and how pleased i was with it, when i’ve had a proper look at it i am not happy!! Because of the back pain i only took it out of the box and put it outside when i went to it yesterday to repot it it looks like its been kept in the dark, the new growth is pale and leggy, two of the stalks broke off and the centre had dead growth. Took these photos what do you think?
I have emailed the company concerned both of these photos and told them i’m not happy, i wait with bated breath to see what reply (if any) i get!
It wasn’t cheap either came to about £12.00 with postage, only use online ordering because i find it difficult to get to the garden centre. I must admit this is the first time i’ve not been happy with a purchase made online.
Just realised the first photo is upside down!! sorry LOL

you would think will the cost they would give you a decent plant. hope you sort it out.

Hope you get your money back S, or a replacement. I took a clematis back to Squires yesterday which was meant to be a 'hardy evergreen'. Everything else I bought at the same time is doing ok, but this one was very dead.
They give a three year guarantee on all their plants so it wasn't a problem to exchange it.

Poor little thing - hopefully they will send you a replacement and then you can nurse this one back to health and end up with two :)

It might come good yet, the roots look really good, just not a healthy looking plant will let you all know if i hear from them!!

They should respond - if they sell on-line, they have a reputation to keep up.

You are having some poor luck at the moment with your back and everything. Such a shame and so disappointing. I hope you get some satisfaction from the company SK. Keep us posted.

tut tut is it from the same place as Llew bought the roses? thats naughty... if you dont hear anything contact them again and start demanding it really isnt on
