Re-cycling!

Have been recycling today in a very small way i hasten to add! I was in the hallowed ground that is hubbys garage and i espied some egg cups that were made out of spiralled steel, and a light bulb came on in my head (doesn’t happen often so when i recovered from the shock) i needed something to hang the fat balls on for birds, i have a cage hanger (if you see what i mean) that holds 4 but have some left over and i noticed the one i put down the bottom of the garden had been eaten more than the ones nearer the house, so i decided to hang some more in the tree, the photo below is of my ‘invention’ LOL
I had to sew the net to the holder (hence the name sewingkilla LOL) but it worked, hope the birds like their new holder!
Well after this success i had a look round for anything else i could recycle and found this old basket, i think it had held some Christmas Hyacinth at one point, i painted it with the green Cuprinol and planted with some Lobelia and some Swan River Daisies, will put it back in greenhouse at night till safe to leave out.
Am now looking round to see what else i can ‘borrow’ from the garage!!

Your hubby seems to have lots of stuff in his garage Sewingkilla! I look forward to more of your "inventive" ideas! Lol!!
You can buy chains from "Notcuts" garden centres, don't know if there is one near you, but you could turn it into a hanging basket if you have another hook handy? (garage......?!?)

You have some good ideas. I think I'll have to borrow some things from my garage. But I don't know who I'll be borrowing them from.

nothing personal dave but all the males in my life had/have borrowed with out a care. so if you are different please accept my appologies.

Well I've noticed you keep moaning about men in some of your comments Seaburngirl. I could do the same about women because I find them as bad if not worse in many cases than men.
But I don't do it because I think there are some exceptions , and unlike you I don't want to sound rude and insulting.

I didnt mean it to be rude and insulting and i will refrain from doing it in future Blodyn. please accept my appologies.

We all have bad experiences and I don't think it does any good to dwell on them. It's best to accept what happens and move on as best we can - otherwise we'll get stuck in a lot of bitterness. And that can lead to problems.
I'm sorry to hear of the trouble men have caused you. I hope you can try to concentrate on more positive things.

Nobody is falling out. Just clearing the air, That's a good and healthy thing to do. :o)

Dont be sad SK. Hywell and i havent fallen out.:o) and he is quite correct to say my comments sound negative. I am very positive about my life even though i do get tired and down in the dumps from time t time. Now that is because i am a woman. One of my foilbles my hubby has to contend with as well as the snoring lol. When I said men I meant my brothers and I unreservedly appologise to anyone who felt upset by my comments.
and SK your blog is still brilliant so dont wish you hadnt posted it.
and it has started raining yippee.
