Rain rain go away

Well i don’t know about anyone else but i am very fed up with all this rain, can’t get anything done in the garden, you just get out there then the heavens open and its not just drizzle either is it? its torrential rain!!
I was stood at the sink (story of my life!) when i saw Toffee on the fence just below the garage roof looking suspicious! I had thrown some bread up there earlier for the birds thinking the cats wouldn’t get them, pffft more fool me!

Hmmm! now whats that up there?

I’ll just take a peek to see whats there

Oh Blast they saw me!!!
He gave up after that and jumped down LOL

I agree Sewingk ... I want the heatwave back. Tipping it down here right now and I've hardly been able to get into the garden all weekend.
Nice to see Toffee - I remember that awful morning when he didnt return home, but it all ended OK in the end :-)

I don't mind the rain though.

Toffee is as photogenic as ever....
My gardens have been so dry that I welcome the rain...
but I realise some gardens have had too many downpours and are flooded...

Is the water not draining away in your garden ?

the pond has an overflow and the astilbe is planted near to that. so no flooding for me thank heaven.

He's a prettily-marked chap isn't he Sewingkilla? My cats eat the birds' bread too - hubby didn't believe me 'till he saw him & said if you offered him bread in the kitchen he'd look at you as if you were mad but he'll steal it from the birds!
Just goes to show them nawdy moggies always have to have one over on the robins!

As for the rain...I was thankful for a let-up yesterday evening for our party & folk could sit outside for a bit but it soon got chilly...we lit a roaring log fire & we all sat inside but with the door still open. :0)

We have had a lot of rain for a few weeks, but its also windy so as it rains the winds dry everything up, so still have to water everything.
