Hi everyone I came home last night after a long drive from France its nice to be home, I watched the weather on the tele while away so didn’t know what to exspect in my new garden well what a sight I put on my borders 3 bags of manure before I left but when I got back I couldn’t even see my roses and plants for weeds and loads and loads of poppies all over the place which I never planted they were pretty though light lavender with a dark mauve center well I couldn’t sleep lastnight so ended up weeding at 5 in the morning in my dressing gown what the neighbours thought god only knows Ive kept a few poppies that were in the back of the border but god knows what was in that manure. Ive lost a couple of new plants a magnolia and a choiysa they look as dead as a doe doe still the rest all took so not to bad but must say I love France but it is nice to come home byee!

Well I guess the poppies compensate a bit for all the weeds. At least you won't be wondering how to occupy your time! Glad you had a good holiday anyway - you didn't miss much here in terms of weather i can tell you.
