lovely blog Sheilar - quite a few I also have in there - the astilbes, one Hywel gave me that begins with P , hypercium and berberis, we only had one crocosmia this year :(( nice to see your garden Sheilar

Hywel, I never got round to planting that pot in the first pic - it's just plants in pots dumped in it!! We think they're nice looking houses in our street, it's a 3 bed pre-war semi so it's quite big with four big bay windows.
Pimp - Banger is indeed sporting a poorly paw - he's ripped his dew claw, looks like the Vet will have to remove it (£200!!!)

I don't think it is Pimp, it's sort of soft and furry round the tiny little flowers and has like a ferny type leaf (could be some sort of wild flower??)

What's a green manure plant please?

It is one of the quick growing plants used for ground cover then you dig them in before flowering to improve the soil.

In the mix you bought it in it is for attracting bees. Good cut flowers and they are scented Sheilar

There are always bees round them. I've only used half the box - is it too late to chuck the rest in??lol

Can sow them right up to September Sheilar...Greedy guts!

The £ shop had a selection of 'shake and rake' in different colours earlier in the year so I bought the blue selection. When I shook them out of the box, it just looked like a load of porridge oats, so I was not expecting them to flower. I was quite pleasantly surprised when these grew!!

You have some lovely shrubs and plants in your garden, Sheila ... strange to be read about green manure as I've just been reading up about it for the allotment ... and I thought the blue flower was a type of Verbena ... oh well ... what do I know! ... :o)

Phacelia is good to bring pollinators to the allotment, and hoverfly too feed on aphid.
