We love Holy island Sheilar and your pics reminded me of good times there. Also love the east coast line it is always so clean & tidy. Nice to peek at your faces too!

When I used to do a 'Viking' topic with my 8 and 9 year olds and mentioned Lindisfarne to them, I often wondered exactly what it was like and thanks to you I know now!

Lovely photos Sheilar, having a quick look at first I thought your OH was St Aiden then realised sub titles were underneath photos not above.lol. Happy Birthday to him anyway.

Thanks all. At the base of the statue of St Aidan (the sixth photo) there were lots of notes under little stones, which I assumed were prayers for loved ones. I didn't read any of them as I thought they would be private.
