Spring flowers February 2019

All so pretty! Weather was nice today and the forecast is even better for the weekend so fingers crossed we all have a busy few days in the early Spring sunshine!

Yes, it was very foggy this morning in Dorset, but onceIreChed London itwas beautiful all the way. Am still on the train, but should be home in about half an hour now. Itsbeen a beautiful journey again.

A garden full of colour its delightful.

The Hellebore in the first pic is so lovely!
All daffodils are so cheerful and happy looking - whether they are a named or special variety or not. I usually lose the labels anyway...Jut looking at the garden through the window these past few days has been a treat in itself!

Its been grand here as well Shirley, leave the housework and go outside time, your flowers are so colourful and a lovely cheery sight, gives a definite boost to ones well being and that is always good..
Only one daff in flower at the moment, very early for me, not sure why as the others are only just beginning to show their buds, I do like your pot of Tete-a-Tete, such pretty flowers I think, its being a good year for Hellebores, I like their long flowering season, do like your white one, actually I like all hellebores but I do love all white flowers, some of mine have been in for years, took ages to flower and I was about to give up on them but there's no stopping them now, I have discovered they prefer the middle part of my garden, lol, I'm amazed, the birds leaving my crocus alone this year, that's a first especially the yellow ones.... Lovely photo's Shirley, spring is definitely on its way, I whispered that as I don't wish to put the mockers on the weather, lol....

it has been a sunny day on our trip down to our daughter in Wales so no flowers as such for me. S o thanks for sharing. That crocus looks like Pickwick and is my favourite crocus.

Your plants are looking colourful. The spring flowers opening fully when the sun shines. Brightens the spirits.

Sunnydais, I see you're up in the North East which is where the fine weather seemed to be, lucky you.

Karen, I hope your train journey wasn't too tiring. By the sound of it you enjoyed fair weather heading North too!

Lincs, a couple of the yellow Crocus have been 'shredded' by the birds, little beggars!

Sbg, you kindly named that Pickwick Crocus for me a couple of years ago, thanks for that ... :o)

Everything looks lovely Shirley. I love Spring flowers , especially the daffs.
Mine are going to be late showing there faces as I left them behind when we moved ( I had dug many of them up ) in a big pot in the garage and my neighbour from Laceby brought them down for me.

Lovely photos. The cuttings you gave me of Erysimum have taken well and are starting to flower too. I've got no Crocus in this garden. Something I must add at some point. Finding it very frustrating not being able to get out in the garden due to the new puppy and him eating everything. Oh well, my own fault lol.

Rose, I say it every year, Spring is my favourite season for flowers! How kind of your neighbour to bring the big pot of bulbs to you ... :o)

Karen, OH says if we ever do a tour of Scotland we will take the train up and then hire a car. Not sure I would relish being on a train for hours and hours though ...

All looking really lovely. I didn't realise Hellebores are easy to grow from cuttings, I will try.
I had planned a trip to the seaside on Friday Shirley but my friend called to say it was very misty and cool so I didn't bother. Perhaps this Friday if the sun stays with us.

Lovely to see so much colour in the garden. Ours is so bleak at the moment but at least OH is better health-wise.
Can understand why people down-size!!

Gina, I have never grown Hellebores from cuttings but mentioned Wallflowers ones! Perhaps there is some confusion? This Friday is set to be cloudy, up to 11 degrees.

Oh Eirlys, shame your garden is a bit bleak, give it a couple of weeks and there'll be lots of colour!
