In the Botanical Garden at Funchal
The main house contained an herbarium. Seen from the Cacti terraces.

Cacto escova

This bloom must have been 10 ft up. Looking down on a Tyrannosaurus rex!

Prickly Pear

With pollinator

A pollinator or a pollen thief?

And some smaller Cacti

By that I mean only 2 to 3 ft

Before returning down hill a visit to Loiros bird gardens, also included in the garden entry fee (about 5 euros).

Another day a visit to Monte Palace Gardens.
But good bye from the Old Girl, Lol Siris

Dd like to see your pic, I think Kleinia are grown as small pot plants in the Uk. I grow Aloe vera, which is similar ish, but always gets top heavy.
You can buy Prickly pear fruit in markets in France to eat, but how do you peel them? With a potato peeler? With Care definitely!
