A pot of Aslepias tuberosa not fully open and already a butterfly has found it.

Basking on a stone in front of where the pot is standing.
Not interested in the Delosperma cooperi plant although a solitary Bee just visited it.

A close up of the comma butterfly

When the Asclepias plant is fully open I will put a pic in my virtual garden.

Nice shot - glad you were there at the right time! Seeing a comma is always a treat I think - not common round here.

wonderful photos Siris, a super butterfly. We have the odd one now and again. At the minute we have several of the white's flitting around.

I'll try to see what other butterflys are attracted to this plant.

How lovely !!!..We don't get the comma in the garden but there is a meadow down the bottom of our road, also an old train track that runs along side of it, there are always a lot along there....Seen quite a lot of butterflies this week in my garden, whites, red admirals and peacocks, lots of the pretty blue ones during springtime but they seem to have disappeared .Lovely photo's Siris...

Good close up of the Comma butterfly. Sadly, there is a definite lack of Butterflies in my garden this year.
