Lotus hirsutus

Lotus hirsutus is a small glaucus leaved shrub. I grew from seed flowered in June. The white flowers are clover-like with a touch of pink.
And now August producing masses of seed in pods which are “polished” brown, quite decorative.
I do like this shrub.

Might be one of those woody stem plants that get leggy and dont like to be cut back into the old wood. Will see, its getting a trim after its finished its display.

It's a pretty little thing but I u never have guessed it was a lotus. I always imagined them to be something like a water lily - how wrong can you get???
