Billarderia longiflora

I grew these plants from seed and put the first of these twinning plants up the back fence. It started flowering in 2019…
…and has started to move along.(first pic below) of the berries this year..
….since then I put another plant up a rope support. The flowers and fruits show up better there than intertwined amongst other plants.(second pic)
…. recently I put another seedling up a stake, it subsequently flowered and has produced it’s berries – WHITE ones.
Researching this berry colour, it appears to be quite unusual, so I’m quite chuffed although I still prefer the purple colour. I intend to to harvest the berries (only 2 actually) and prepare the black seeds (I assume they will be black as are the purple berrried ones) and sow them next year, see if a) they are fertile, b) produce white berries.
Watch this space!

These are great plants, especially the metallic blue/purple berries.
It will be interesting to see what the white ones produce.
Keep us informed of the progress.

I like that, it looks very happy where you've planted it, really shows up, I do like the ones that flower and then produce berries, of which there sure are a lot this year...
