its been a mad couple of months and I have let some of the garden slip, but I will try and get things right by the end of the month..

I was out this morning and thought what a task I have but then realised that there some interesting things growing in odd unkept and neglected places that I sort of take for granted..

I thought you might like to see some of them..

Love this..and it sits around a most interesting place..

this space was once used for serving beer by the farmers wife when the Llangollen canal was being built in the 1800’s. The workers would walk up the field to sample the ladies offering..

another favourite of mine in a very neglected place..

the old barn is as old as the house, built in 1751..its life though is coming to an end as Im going to be replacing it next year..

another blooming wonder throughout the summer..in a rather remote and neglected place..just too much to do obviously

its amazing what beauty will grow in the most unkempt of place though

there are though those things we love and are in the most practical but sometimes forgotten places..

and of course the everyday..but we sometimes take for granted..

Great hidden places especially the Beer Cave and is that a Lonicera sempervirens (Coral honeysuckle) growing round it.

You are so right about the plants, this is why I respect them so much and love them and find it hard to pull any out... even the invasive ones. Love the honeysuckle around the door there.

Wonderful bit of history such a shame it s not open to the public along side the canal over the field, I would keep the wild parts introducing wild flowers which have an aray of colour and uses to wild life, then at the end of flowering they just need a cut with mower. I can just about see Meg enjoying her self big hug for Meg from me please. Did Mrs n Thompson grow for you clematis I sent you, there is a low growing over ground one called Filigree TM , very floriferous with exquisite single to semi double silvery blue flowers with ruffled edges. Cant upload photo as I m on a phone , cant even see any ones pictures good either .

Great to see some pics of areas gone a bit wild - most gardens on here are so very neat it makes me nervous! Lovely blue clematis.
