A short walk round my garden.

Hallo – I’m off on a walk round my garden with my iPad! Let’s see if I can add some photos on the way up to the wall border.

Lilies in the border.

Diascia personata – I love this plant!

Up the steps. We’re nearly at the wall border!

A view down the lawn to the island bed.

Philadelphus ‘Belle Etoile’ in flower in the top border. We have to go past her to get to the wall border.

Here we are – this is part of the wall border. It’s only two years old, but it has really filled out!

Clematis ‘Etoile Violette’ climbing up and over the arch.

Rosa ‘Dancing Queen’ has climbed up to meet the Clematis, just as I hoped. It’s a lovely place to sit with flowers all round you.

These lovely Escholzia are self sown now. I sowed a packet of them last year, and hope they continue to thrive.

Anemone ‘Wild Swan’ is at the far end of the wall border, in a more shady area which seems to suit her.

Salvia ‘Caradonna’ and Nepeta ’Walker’s Low’, however, enjoy the sun.

So does Dianthus carthusianorum, which has started to bloom. I’m not sure how to put a photo in the middle of my blog so I’ll add a pic at the end.

In the top border, opposite the wall border, I have a beautiful Campanula ‘Silver Bells’. It’s beginning to ‘walk’, but I don’t mind – there’s room for it. People who came to my open day last week asked for its name!

I’m so glad that Homebird gave me a lesson on how to write a blog using my iPad, and yes, I managed it, photos and all. Now I know how to do it, we’ll go to other areas of the garden next time.

Here’s Dianthus carthusianorum.

Oh, I forgot Silene ‘Firefly’ which is a wonderful plant!

And, naturally, my friend had to come on the walk with me.

Love that walled border, it is so pretty. If ever I win a lot of money, IF IF IF, I shall buy a house with a huge walled garden, one where the bunnies are not able to climb. lol Lovely blog Spritz :O) thanks for the wander around your lovely garden. :O)

That's strange Karen, as many of them are on their side when I view them :-(

great walk, thanks, Spritz. a couple of pics were sideways to me, and the last inverted, but you'll get the hang very quickly!

I don't know why they're sideways or poor Henry upside down - everything looks fine on my iPad, too! Weird, isn't it. Ah well, it was only an experiment!

Was that the wall we watched being built a couple of years ago ? Looks familiar. I remember the seat being placed
in the middle of it.

I hope Henry is feeling better cannot be good to be upside down like that lol viewing them on my pc several are the wrong way up, I must try looking at them on my tablet, have never done a blog using mine (it is not an ipad though)HB I wonder if the same applies to my tablet , must give it a try..
I love the wall and the seat, they look fabulous B...and the planting is beautiful as usual...

Good idea - have ipad, will travel! You and HB will have started a real trend now.
Garden looks great, whether side ways or not - lovely blooms and of course your dog is gorgeous.

Sorry to give everyone neck-ache having to look at photos upside down or sideways! I shall know what to do next time, thanks to Homebird and Alan's advice.

Yes, Diane, that's 'The Great Wall of Somerset'. :-)

Dd - do try looking on your tablet, it'll be interesting to see if Henry's righted himself! LOL. (He didn't seem to mind being upside down)

it's not just the ipad, I think - I tried uploading a pic to another site and it ended up sideways - twice! deleted the first, checked my original pic, it was right way up, uploaded it again, came out sideways. no idea why that happened.

I am thrilled my memory is still functioning at 100% !

Your synapses are in good working order, then! LOL.

Fran, that's very strange...and annoying!

Just off to see my osteopath ...I'll send you the bill:-))
Your garden is lovely as always, I enjoyed the tour very much. I'm going to google that silene, I think it would look good in my purpley reddy pinky blue bed:-))

OK, I'm really sorry that you need treatment. :-((

I get a lot of enquiries about 'Firefly' - it's a great plant.
