A fast visit. The Dahlia’s were beauty’s. The dwarf Jacaranda- blue flowers,was my first time seeing them. Said to stop growing at 6’. They are halfway there now.
Great for those in cold zones as they can be overwintered.

Ster? If they become available,try one. The plain original species is native to Southern Brazil. They are partners with Butia palms (hardy in the UK sometimes) so that give you an idea that they do not need tropical hot conditions to thrive.
I'm not saying plant them in ground..but I would think a cool greenhouse or indoors in winter in a cool room would work.
I might go back...
