This is part of the near daily commute along Sunol Road. The nursery, the creek with cottonwood tree’s that get many a mention in American cowboy movies. Also- along a close by part of the commute, they brought in herd of goats to lessen the fire danger. Too bad the goats kill and eat all young tree’s too.
You can make out the haze in the air from the forest fires miles away.

That's pretty much how I remember California in Summer. The barren landscape looks very unstable

Gosh Stan it is very dry.......in Scotland we have the opposite problem. Too much rain and a bit of flooding yesterday.

Good grief, that's a bit barren. Whatever do the sheep live on? Didn't they know goats eat anything and everything?

That's typical California this time of year. The dog days of summer.
You see why I cling to my dot of garden greenery?

Seems like it.

You have to go to the coastal beaches or north to Redwoods- or the Gold country of hills and on to high Tahoe to see California looking good in summer. Big Sur- Carmel also.

But,most of California that goes warm in summer..looks just like this more or less.
Grape vines love this-lol.
