My old hard drives are dead. Photobucket broke links. But I found photos of my Mango on palmpedia and copied to my now PC.
I bought it in a pot in 2010..in 2012 it was killed to a stump by a frost. The photos start in 2014 when it was in ground since spring 2012. At the start of the pics, its not quite 3’. Its now about 9+’
6 feet in three years is better then I remembered. One of those years- 2015,it had a lot of fruit but the tree didn’t grow as I recall. 2016 was a huge growth year- no fruit!

In England we enjoy Mango chutney from Sainsburys.

you dont lose it again !

What have you done, Stan? I keep hearing "Underneath the Mango Tree" now!
Pamelaanne: I didn't know that about Photobucket. haven't visited for some time but have lots of images there. Are you willing to PM me the name of the site you use now, please?

I've tried accessing PB through the third partys- plant boards- but have been blocked. I havent tried to get back in directly. I should try..Why I havent is because I took it for granted I wouldnt get to see the photos if I did.
One more try Pamela!
Diane,I'm fine here. Well out of the fire zone...but the smoke and charcoal smell is still out there a week later.
Eirly's ..its become a obsession to grow them. I went from -impossible! in 2004..to doting on every new leaf in 2017!

That's really some good documentation on your mango tree. It really has grown quite a bit in the last three years...just think much it'll grow over the next couple of years now that it's got some height.

The vertical stem is classic look..but the ones leaning forward are doing a good job of getting the most sunlight and heat. I'm not pruning a thing unless its years from now and -hard to even write this- too tall.
I planted that Keitt seed Andy. It was already breaking out of the husk. The largest Mango seed Ive ever seen. I need to post a photo in a little while..

The only think usually what recommended on mango tree is a lot of tip-cutting. It's so the tree can branch out faster and with a nice bushy shape.
I know the Keitt mango seeds germinate pretty well. I have several starting to sprout. Hopefully, by spring they'll be putting on some growth. I've been starting them in a plastic, seeds wrapped in a paper towel.
I'm still wanting to put my little mango tree which is 3' tall in the ground just to see what it will do.

Soils are still warm. It would root in for now. Again,on youtube, plenty of vids of tree's planted from seed having fruits at 5 years old. Also- you could always graft something else on the Keitt if you wanted to speed that up.

The soil is hot here. I'm not sure if you saw many of the temps here in S. Cal yesterday? So many temps over 105ºF throughout San Diego County yesterday, it's difficult to keep track of...
Today temps are already 90ºF at 9:00 a.m. Last night it was still 85ºF at 11:00 p.m! YUCK!!! Tomorrow should be a lot more tolerable, as temps will be back to upper 80's.
I'll see what happens with this 3' mango seedling in the ground. I'll have to keep it a small tree, though. I remember a small Hass avocado tree I started from seed in the SF Bay Area produced avocados when it was two years old (in the ground). It was such a beautiful tree!

Lovely recovery, and perhaps it only has energy to do growing height or fruit in a year but not both.
As to recovery of photos, I was also using photobucket and they stopped hosting external links unless you pay them a fortune so I found a new site to use for free. And you can still go to your photobucket account and get the photos back from there onto your pc. If you want the name of the site I use now I can let you know.
