I've just been down to the big pond....its iced over except for the bit near to the decking that had water running, and frost still on the grass, it will be interesting to see if the old adage comes true...
Ice in november to bear a duck
The rest of the winter just sludge and muck.......
We,ll see I guess!

Thanks for all your comments - not much of a blog really but the view really cheered me up. We are having out paths resurfaced with brick coloured blocks next week, so its all very exciting!

That will be another blog then Stera!!! Get ready with your camera :)

Not sure its exciting enough for that - and does it count as gardening? the difficult bit is finding somewhere to park outside the garden as the roadside gets pretty full, but I think we're sorted.

Lovely outlook from your window Stera. I have no idea who Marion Cran is either.Perhaps before our time!

Steragram, is Iciar's pic appearing with your comment? Johnjoe's comment had the same pic last week....it's a mystery. Is this your garden? it's beautiful:-) Where did Marion Cran come from? Am I missing something? :-)
4 Dec, 2012
Yes, I do appear as Iciar from time to time - its been reported but nothing seems to have happened.
Yes it's our front garden, but from a carefully chosen angle!
I think Marion Cran was mentioned in another blog.I just Googled her and it said she was the first woman gardening broadcaster.

Glad to see you back Hywel - you should be hearing from me shortly! Yes I love winter trees too, especially when they have moss on them.
