colours and shapes

Tuesday:
It started off as a very cold morning, but as the frost began to thaw, the blue grass gave way to strings of jewels:
and then the sun came out:
i cant quite believe it is november!
that blue sky is mesmerising, but there are still some beautiful shapes even when the flowers have gone:

Very foggy here all day so appreciated seeing a lovely blue sky. In the winter months when the trees are bare is when one can really see the shape, I always use my poetic licence on frosty days, also ones imagination can really run amok if taking a walk in the fog and a tree looms up in front of you.........

We had a couple of very foggy days here as well. Today has been damp & cold, but not excessively so. We had some very brief showers on & off all day. Not looking forward to Wed - Fri! Possible snow forecast! :-(( Brrr!
I was able to do some digging down on the allotment, was digging up the old strawberry bed. It had to go because it was impossible to keep free of bindweed. You can't imagine how much root I've dug up. If I finish it tomorrow, weather permitting, I'll try & take a photo of the amount of roots I've got out. You will truly be amazed!

you dont seem to get as much rain as we do ~ my son lives out your way and he says its noticeably drier.
22 Nov, 2010
He's quite right! East Anglia is probably the driest region in the UK! Most of the time I'm quite happy that that is so - except for last summer, we could have done with a bit more in the way of rain as I spent about 2 & 1/2 hours 3 days a week watering the allotment!
I have a brother who lives in N.Ireland. We very rarely see each other but when I do see him I wonder if he will have turned green/be covered in moss - from the amount of rain they seem to get over there! :-D
I've uploaded a photo of the Bindweed roots if you'd like to see it.
