If you have seen ‘only connect’ you will know the format of this quiz; the vowels are taken out of well known words or phrases and the spaces moved:
so wall flower ~ may become ~ wl lfl wr
I have put a list of plants from my garden below
can you work out what they are?
1. prsf rstf lm
2. hs trng mrmld
3. strw brr ytr
4. crp lmtm
5. hllbr hrvngtny llw
6. tttt nrc sss
7. ppp ygrd ngnm
8. gntn
9. cml ljpnc
10. fchs blck
the picture should help with one of the above:
hope it all makes sense

I've got a complaint, Sticki - if number one is Pieris forrestii Forest Flame, then there's an r and an f missing... been puzzling over that one for ages - or are some of the consonants meant to be missing?
9 Jan, 2011
I think it's Pieris, Bamboo, without the forrestii.

Ah, yes, you're right, Sheilabub - I'm so serious and literal minded, that's my trouble - been wondering about the strawberry tree (what the devil's a strawberry tree I'm thinking) and then realise it must be Arbutus unedo...
