DISASTER!!!, No its turned out ok

Last year when we had some very strong winds I was really worried as we have a huge 30ft eucalyptus tree about 12ft from the house and when the branches were swaying I thought they would bring down the cables between us and next door.
A drastic measure but we had the tree cut off at about 14ft and just left the horrible stump.
Well here it is now looking like a huge lollipop with little twigs coming all the way down the stump – different but I like it.

Looks like there's no stopping it, Stroller. How old is the Eucalyptus treee ?
I'm asking as I've just planted a small one in the front garden, have had some good advice on keeping it under control.

snap...same thing with my Eucalyptus,it was about 20 feet & we cut it down to about 10 feet & it looks like a giant lollypop head with little twigs shooting all the way down the trunk too...think it`s better than the stump !!

Stroller

Thanks TT and Tulsa. Shirley its about 10/12yrs old, my OH and me had quite a few tiffs over it as I wanted to keep it pruned even though the label said dwarf 12/14ft ha,ha, well he had his way and there was no pruning. So keep your eye on yours and dont make the same mistake as me.
