First time in flower,

Although this Hebe was planted in 2010 this is the first time I have seen it in flower,
Hebe pimeloides “quicksilver”
here again in close up
and these are Brodacea that Shirley Tulip kindly sent me
We have had some sunshine today in between the over cast spells and I was able to put in some runner beans to replace those completely eaten by slugs, this time I have very reluctantly put slug pellets down.
Hope you had a happy garden day.

It's a lovely plant. Hebes always fit in anywhere in a garden. I like the Brodeaea too.
It has rained solidly here all day long. We went to Carmarthen and got soaked lol. Should have stayed at home.
I'm pleased to hear you were able to spend some time in the garden :o)

I like all Hebes, they seem to fit in anywhere and the Brodacea is really pretty, I put slug pellets down as soon as I planted my beans, then covered with my netting....
Trying to rain now but we have had a reasonable day....

Lovely shrub Stroller and at least it will probably shrug off this awful weather. This is the first time in the last 15 years that I have been growing veg, that has suffered so badly. I'm fed up of regrowing everything, so might give up this year and just look after whats left. How is Shirley, do you know?

Carole - really love those little purple flowers I just hope that Shirley Tulip is looking and feeling as healthy and we shall hear from her soon. I`ve found your topiary pics and commented on them, thank you.
Sticki, Karen, Hywel and Willi, your comments are appreciated.
Rose I`m with you as far as the veg goes, fed up to the teeth with all the slug damage. Am sending you a PM.

This is a lovely Hebe, Stroller, would look good in my front gravel garden so keep your eye on it ... lol! I saw some Brodiaea for sale in the local supermarket ... £3 for a tiny bunch of them!
Hello Rose, that's kind of you to ask how I am! ... I haven't been on GoY for almost a month but did post a photo this evening ... sums up this Summer really! ... I have a hospital appointment tomorrow and hope to find out the results of some tests I recently had ... fingers crossed for positive news ... :o)

I've crossed mine too for you Shirley. I'm just about to have a slice of the famous ST plum cake, but made with nectarines:-)
How strange that it's only flowered now Stroller, you wouldn't have thought it would be that partial to all the rain and dullness. Looks lovely:-)

Hi Shirley will have to see if I can take a cutting then.
BA, I dont think the poor plants know what they`re supposed to be doing at the moment.
