Light nights

twilight is a lovely time to alter/enhance colour in the garden. especially white flowers come into their own.

Beautiful poppies, both sorts. The garden is a completely different place at twilight and on the nights of the full moon, you can believe in the fairies! Sad to think we are only just getting going in the garden and almost up to the longest day!

You're right Honeysuckle, it may have been 'light' for a couple of months already but time goes so quickly, and up here anyway we've had pretty rubbish weather so far, so haven't been able to take advantage. Fingers crossed for better weather for all. I love poppies and it's so nice to be able to make it look like a 'border' when it's all just pots.

Your garden is very pretty. I find everything looks different as the day fades.
I love the light nights and wish we could have them all year round.
I like the light mornings too. The dawn starts to break before 4 am now. I wish we could have that all year round too ! :D

Thank you Hywel. I too love the light nights and mornings, makes you appreciate how long the birds stay awake for. I often hear them at 4 or 5 in the morning after hearing them at 11 at night. One of these days I'll get up at that time........not sure which day though......

Beautiful photo's Sunnydais, I too love my light nights, wish we'd been having the summery ones of yesteryear though, I can remember gardening until 11pm when my kids were youngsters, used to move into the front garden and carry on by streetlight, now even when its dry we no longer keep the warmth as we used to...Weather is really playing us up at the moment, was crying out for some rain and now we're getting the whole years supply in two weeks, at least the temp is rising a bit again now....

Yes Lincslass, we have to be careful what we wish for, that's for sure!
