Hi all, well we have got all the shingle down now so took a few snaps for you to see of our hard work before and after. Also added some pictures of the dell as the foxgloves are out at the moment. It is lovely down in the dell first thing in the morning, just wish I could share it with you all. The birds singing away are just so sweet, and we have some squirrels who play up and down the oak trees. We have got to sort out the grass next, can’t call it a lawn LOL it is so full of weeds. I will add some more photos as the garden progresses, hope you are all well Teds.

Thanks all, it has been a tuff time over the last 16 months but finally we can start to just enjoy the garden. We are going a have a rest from all hard work until September, then tackle the jungle that is the front garden.

Its great to see that all your hard work is paying off and you have made the most of the different levels ... what I would call a meandering garden full of interest.
You`ve enjoyed a rest so just enjoy will keep fingers crossed for some good sunshine for you.

Wow! what an incredible transformation Teds! Yes, take a break! Your poor backs must be aching with lifting all that gravel, rocks and paving! It looks wonderful, I've never seen such a quick transformation on such a huge garden! Well done...I'm imagining you in the Dingle Dell first thing with your cuppa listening to the birds and watching the squirrels....heaven! :))

Thanks Stroller, we live on the top of a hill so nothing is level in the garden. We did think in the beginning should we level the land but it was just to big a job. We could do with some sunshine here, I put on all my old gardening cloths this morning and my dads old hat. I had in mind to get out in the garden and do battle with some weeds, but the rain has put a stop to that.
Thanks Karen, it is costing me a fortune in nuts for the squirrel feeder, we had two Squirrels last year but they must of had young as we have four now. OMG just as I type a very large brown RAT has walked past my window, I ran out to see where it had gone and it was by the kitchen back door. It then made its way under the fence and out into the front garden. Yuk!

Teds, welcome to the country! That will be what's taking all your nuts! We had so much bother with mice in our loft....stopped feeding the birds at the kitchen and moved the feeder right away from the house...problem solved. Only caught one so far this year, and that was a couple of months ago now.

Wow Teds it's looking great, what a transformation. And those foxgloves are gorgeous. Looks like a really lovely place to sit with a cuppa and relax (if you ever stop working that is).

You have worked so hard, Teds! I am full of admiration! Aren't foxgloves wonderful? I love them so much - if I find any growing in the wrong place, I move them and they never let me down. Yours are beautiful! And the shingle looks great!
