Busy building
15 comments
Hi guys I havnt been on here for a while as I have been really busy of late.
I have a few months left in the RAF before I start out on my own in my new career of garden design and maintenance.
My web site is up and a few of you have already had a quick look at it for me to give me your opinion. (Thanks by the way).
I have registered with the tax man, I have attended various business link courses and I have one arranged with the inland revenue in about a week.
The last couple of weeks I have been on a bricklaying and plastering/ rendering course. This was so that I could either carry out small hard landscaping work myself or at least I now have an understanding with regards to footings/ brick work/ rendering etc.
I really enjoyed the course and below are a few pics of my wall and arch.
The last one is of a fire place. I got to build this as well since I got on so well with the wall and arch.
I am really looking forward to the new year with a new business.
Oh and the weekend if its not to wet as I have the last of my veggi beds to sort out.

Don't run away from us, will you - we'd like to know how it's going. From the look of it, you've enjoyed learning the craft and 'got' the hang of it. :-))))

any photos of walls in gardens? one of my favourite places is the ruined nunnery on Iona which has ancient stones and flowers growing in and around them ~ a perfect combination i think ~ and perhaps very british????
