RHS Results.

Well I have been busy with work and holidays and everything else recently and I have not had time for GOY.
The results for my first RHS Hort 1 exam was a pass. Hooray. It wasn’t 100% but it was a pass. (not bad considering the questions I wanted, were nowhere to be seen).
Ive also just taken my first steps towards a teaching qualification as I have finished my PTLLS course. This is the first step towards a new career in the further education sector. 6th form or college.
Dream job, something in horticulture.
I have got lots of catching up to do in the garden as we had been in France for a week, then Ireland, then work and my course kicked in. So the weekend was spent tidying up in the garden.
This afternoon was spent planting lots of Tahiti, Winston Churchill, Doctor Hugh and a bag full of other daffs. These I have put in pots this year to then dot around the garden in the spring in the gaps.
I have got 6 lemon scented clipped balls of Cupressus to be planted in the front garden along with two fastigiate versions to go in the pots by the front door as the standard clipped balls of Privet are getting moved to the front garden also.
This is to make the front garden more formal in apperance. Pics to follow once the job is done.
This pic was taken last month, and I have only picked a few. The rest will be getting picked tomorrow. If the rain lets up.

You have had a busy time, I like the apple tree. Is this a dwarf (patio) variety? I saw these earlier in the year but didn't know whether they were any good or not!

Congratulations! Maybe you can put in student gardens & teach hort as part of other studies: English lit, history, science...nature pervades & relates everything! And not all learning takes place in classrooms from books as we all know!
