First daffodils

The first of my daffodils (tete-a-tete) opened today – obviously came out to support Wales in their 6 nations match.

I had another look around…
Another snowdrop (from bulbs planted in the autumn) – one snowdrop may not seem much but I was very doubtful about growing them from bulb rather than waiting to get them in the green.

One of last year’s hellebores (Credale strain) is doing well and lots of shoots on the hydrangeas.

The clematis (The Bride), which I thought had succumbed to the cold and damp, has three good strong buds on it but the camellia is making me wait to discover whether it is EG Waterhouse. I’ll love it no matter what but I will love it to bits of it is EGW.

.One snowdrop this year hopefully more next, sometimes it seems as though they have failed completely and can be a disappointment but I took an age to get mine started and now they are popping up in various places and I have even split a couple of clumps.
Must be a lot warmer in your space as my Hydranga is only just budding up..

Thanks Lincs - I think I've had 4 out of 25 bulbs come up. I bought two pots of bulbs in flower a few weeks ago and will plant them into this pot as soon as the blooms are over.
Hydrangeas have leapt forward this past week. It's not particularly warm but, having high walls all round, the yard is very sheltered. Also means it doesn't get much sun.
