I’m wondering if anyone out there can help me trace a particular plant.
A few years ago, whilst moving house, I gave away a beautiful Peony as I didn’t have room for it. Now I’d love to have it again, but don’t know its name.
It was pure white with just a splash of red deep in the bottom of the petals, almost as if someone had splashed a drop of paint. The perfume was heavenly. Can anyone help me track it down?

Waddy, have a look at Peony

Early Midseason Lactiflora, double, white, cupped outer petals surrounding a fluffy center of mixed narrow petals and stamens, white with a yellow suffusion and very prominent crimson flecks on the guards.

or

'Festiva Maxima' is really fragrant and can literally scent up an entire room with just one or two flowers. They are double petal pure white bloom with splashes of deep rose red in the centre.

I hope you'll be able to trace that plant . I only joined GoY to trace a plant I hadn't seen since the 1950s, and I found it. I described it and someone knew what it was called :o)
