Holiday reviews please

Hi Waddy 3yrs ago we booked a villa in Florida with a pool and it was fantastic.

But I have a Uk friend who now lives in Florida so she was in Uk that yr for Christmas but was back before we left so was nice to meet up again.

I have done self catering in Lanzarote but that was more than 20yrs ago but not at Christmas.

We have been to Egypt a few times and we love sharm el sheik and Marsa Alam the last time we went was in January to the Brayka bay hotel in Marsa Alam the temp was around 28/29 C and cloudless skies the hotel offers all inclusive and its got its own private beach etc so no body bothers you the hotel and staff were fantastic one of the best winter hols we have had

Waddy, I was researching holidays last year in Lanzarote at christmas but what I found was that most of the shops, restaurants etc closed up during winter season, have you tried the trip advisor forums, if you type your question on there notice boards usually you get a good response. As Steve says Egypt would be warm, but I personally hated it. Dubai, should be warm but I have never been. Have you heard of the website Secret Escapes and Vogage Prie, they sometimes have good deals to check out. Good luck.

The Holiday Fellowship Trust provide good company in house, wonderful meals, everyone friendly, optional group walks with qualified Leaders, and evening activities. A real old fashioned Christmas. Have a look at their website. Their Isle of Wight Christmas Holiday is usually fully booked by October.

I would imagine Costa Teguise will be pretty quiet at that time Waddy,..but you might have more choice of self catering in Puerto del Carmen...very busy in summer,but probably more to offer,in way of ,bars,restaurants,etc,and quieter in the winter,I imagine....Los Pocillos might be worth looking at.,.a quieter option,and a nice walk into Puerto del Carmen..about 2 kilometres..
