OH's Latest project

I had noticed the raised veg planters in the garden centres, but they were so expensive. I mentioned it to OH who went out into the garage and after much banging, sawing, et produced this!
Bless him. I’ve popped in some winter pansys for now, but plan to grow lettuce, radishes etc next summer.
He told me the whole thing cost about £5 and that included the liner..not a bad saving ;)

Hi Waddy. I love your veg planter....looks very professional, is your OH a carpenter by chance??
Had a look through your pics your garden is gorgeous, and packed with colour. I too like cosmos (hence my username!).
Your idea with the tiered pots is great, and you also obviously like your hanging baskets, they're so bright and healthy.
Have you a rockery? Some of your pics had some big stones in them....would be nice to see the pic at a wider angle so I can see more of them!!

Well thank you kind Sirs (and Madams lol)
I'm not going to grow veggies as such in future...too much hassle in our small garden for little return, but it will be filled with salad stuff next year. I really love salad of all kinds.
Cosmosjane; No my OH is def not a carpenter just a talented amature (don't tell him though, otherwise he'll get big headed and might start charging!) Thank you for your kind comments regarding my garden. I don't have a rockery as such, but there are parts of the front garden which has very poor soil and lots of 'roots' from previous bushes/trees which we can't dig out...so the 'makeshift' rockery.
