OH strikes again

I know most of you will see squirrels as a pest, but I love them.
We have one little chap who visits our birdtable several times a day at the moment, as he stuffs himself and builds up reserves, ready for winter.
I haven’t the heart to stop putting nuts etc out, despite the fact that he gets the lions share..or should that be squirrels?
Anyway, I lamented to OH that what was needed was a Squirrel feeder, that way he’d leave the birdtable alone.
Once more, he disappeared into the garage… and here is the result!
I know he doesn’t buy me flowers…but he knows the way to my heart..bless him!

I hope it works for the squirrel and gives the birds a better chance, don`t get them here but still love to see them in others gardens...

Very professional looking, and decorative too. Now just add a squirrel & lets see the photo! Hope it gives you both lots of pleasure.

That was a good idea Waddy .... not as romantic as giving flowers, but those wouldn't have solved the problem would they ...
I also like squirrels.

Very clever idea. I do not know if it can work with us here, as we are infested with squirrels. They are everywhere.

Not so sure about the squirrel brain...he went straight past the feeder this morning and on to the birdtable...even though we've moved it!

Now he knows he has his own food supply, he will be a regular visitor to your garden, we now have four that are here all day, some time there,s fur flying when two try to get on the feeding box together, they also love sun flower hearts, birds not very happy when one wraps himself around their feeder.but there are great to watch and we feel lucky to have them.

I do miss seeing the lovely grey squirrels you have in the UK - so pretty, so resourceful, so cheeky, so graceful. OK, I know they are a pest as well, but you can almost forgive them because of their entertainment value.
