any wild flowers are good to look at in their native habitat. Not so happy to see them in my garden though :o)

Hi Waddy! Lovely photos again! What are all the arches for in the second pic please?

Thats what I thought Waddy. Too far apart for netting.
Do they have a problem with big birds ?
Lovely photographs anyway, thanks for posting them
for us.

The arches are the frameworks for cloches. This particular field was in need of weeding, as you can see the wild flowers had all but taken over, but there were Aubergine plants there too.

What a joy to see so much pretty colour form such a lovely place.
We are off to Paphos later this week so I hope that I too will see some of the wonderful flowers that you saw.
Where did you stay in Cyprus? I love it there.

Wildrose, we stayed twice at the Aphrodite Hills resort near Paphos. I would go to Paphos again. There's a lot to do there. I loved visiting the monastery up in the hills above the town and the Archaeological site in Paphos..Tombs of the Kings is also a good thing to see. The promenade is great for souvenirs and ice creams too!

Waddy, thanks of explaining the cloche supports!

I loved it in the Troodos mountains which we didn't visit last year so I hope to get there again this visit. I too loved the monastery - what a beautiful place to build a monastery, the monks knew what they were doing all those years ago!
I like the walk beyond the harbour heading away from the town as there are lovely wild flowers there.
Sorry Waddy, we seem to have hijacked your lovely blog!

No problem Christine, feel free. As for the Troodos, we've been up there several times, both on this particular holiday, and the one we took in November last year. We went up to Mount Olympus, which was fantastic as well as visiting Troodos Square, the monastery and the surrounding mountains.

Karen, we stayed in Kapparis this time, which is just outside Protaras, where we stayed last year. We're actually planning to visit the Pathos area in November this year, so thanks for the information about the area.

I could have put together a Blog about the actual holiday, not just the flora and fauna, but didn't think anyone would be interested.
