Dead bees

I’ve seen one or two dead or dying bees just recently and I’ve seen noticed other members of GoY have seen the same and were wondering why. I’ve researched the question and found the ‘Bumblebee Conservation Trust’ giving lots of helpful information others might find interesting. Basically, it would appear there shouldn’t be anything to worry about.

I gave some sugared water to a 'dying' bumble bee recently and then it flew away :)

I've tried sugar-water nectar feeders, but they turn their noses up at them. mind you, the geraniums are still attracting plenty of attention, so maybe the time I should try again is when there's nothing else about

I'm watching the bee documentary now. Terrible.

If see one in trouble I put a tinly spot of honey on my finger and encourage it to feed - it usually works quite quickly.
