Isles of Scilly - back there again!

I returned to my favourite holiday destination at the end of June and as I love it so much I want to share its beauty with you too.
I think the beauty of Scilly is mainly due to the colours in the sea and the sky which have a huge impact because the islands themselves seem so small and low-lying in comparison.
To really appreciate how lovely the islands are you MUST see them on a sunny day – the blues against the white sandy beaches are stunning. Just look!
The flowers also give quite a tropical feel to the islands whether growing wild amongst the sand-dunes, on grassy cliffs or in somebody’s front garden.
The driftwood structures on the beaches must have been blown away in the winter gales but on Bryher a new one had started. I added some shells, dried sea weed and pebbles to it. There was a piece of broken mirror through which you can see the sea!
We had far too many coffee stops along the way and need to go on a starvation diet now we are home!
This pretty little garden was next to a wooden seat and was made for everyone to enjoy. So simple but just right somehow!
Even when a storm threatens it is still beautiful. The photo was taken as we sheltered in a cave on St Marys.
Final pictures coming up!
It is a special place for me and always will be.
P.S. It was apple strudel with the cream by the way!

What a beautiful place. I used to enjoy seeing it on a TV programme Island Parish. It's even better seeing it through your photos. Absolutely lovely.

As you know we spent our honeymoon on Tresco at the Island Hotel, and we have never been back.....it was a magical place even then, and no doubt it still is, thanks for a nostalgic trip, perhaps one day?
