Mid April in our garden.

It is really cold here today but the sun is shining so it is a good time to take a few photos of our garden.
A work in progress but each time we get out there it gets a bit better!
The blossom is so lovely to see eventhough it is only for a short time.
The area near the pond is brightening up but can you spot the naughty celandines……..I did say it was a work in progress!
I love to see tulips open up in the sunshine, I think they like the sun as much as I do!
I think these are Spanish bluebells and they are dotted about all over the garden.
I bought this Erysimum today after seeing the lovely one in Bloomer’s garden.
The corner of the garden where the hellebores grow has looked pretty for a few months now, the hellebores have lasted and lasted.
Our new little grand daughter Zoe seems to like being in the garden too but she can sleep while others do the work!
The last picture was taken on a dull day but it does show a view of the garden from an upstairs window!
I will take you round the garden again when more jobs have been done!
P.S. Zoe is not in our garden, she is at home. We haven’t met her yet! ?

Yes, Zoe is the perfect little flower! What is the dark pink blossom in the third picture please? I'm looking for a small tree with deep ink blossom.

What lovely things to say, thank you.
I am sure it is a malus but not sure which one - a very slow growing one though.

It all looks beautiful, Wildrose - especially Zoe! You must be champing at the bit to give her a cuddle. We are expecting two new grandchildren - one at the end of June, and one in early September. Grandchildren are such a joy!

You are very lucky to have a lovely big garden and, most of all, Zoe!

The blossom is certainly lovely, heralds the Spring/Summer we hope. So fleeting sadly.
Start them young, get them into the garden! Much better for them to be outside in the fresh air than indoors, she's a pet, bet you can't wait!
