It is November but it could just as easily be April!!
All four seasons are on show out there in sunshine and showers and rainbows!
I feel sure the same is happening in your gardens too.
Please take a look
SPRING
SUMMER

Lovely photographs W'rose, my garden is behaving in the same way, the biggest surprise the wallflowers I bought and planted ready for next year, every single one is in flower, look quite attractive in front of my dahlias, its exciting going around every day to see what else doesn't know what season it is...

Thanks Rose - the last photo is a clematis Tangutika. It does take over though and tends to dominate.
I wish you could have had some of our apples.

Lincslass the very same thing has happened to some tiny wallflower plants that I put into a pot. Little flowers are appearing on most of them! Not what I expected to see at all.

Meadowland the roses are still in good condition and are relatively unscathed which is another surprise!!

What a lovely sight in November ,Chris, I know it shouldn't be like this, but isn't it so cheery and uplifting, that we still have all that colour? ,and it is probably going to be the norm now..I do wish I could have been able to take some of those Bramley Apples off your hands,I'm sure they would have been put to good use ! x

Bloomer thank you. If only you could have had a few kilograms of apples!! We have never had so many before, they just went on and on!!
Autumn colours are still very muted around us and I am wondering will we ever get really rich colours on the trees?

Beautiful Autumn pictures from your garden, W'rose. Definitely 'mellow friutfulness' on show. My nigella reseeded itself in late summer and now has new unopened flower heads waiting to show. I wonder if they will manage to flower fully again before the frosts?

We have the clematis Tangutica Chris , but the very last photo seems to have different leaves!
I would have loved some Chris, but would be forever making apple crumble and piling the weight on!

Ange2 I hope you will see Nigella flowers and the way things are going you will probably get loads!
Rose the last photo is a little arrangement of things I had picked from the garden. It includes Winter Jasmine, Viburnum and ivy. Is this helpful? I hope so! It

WOW!!! So much colour in just one garden, in November! ๐ Who would have imagined it just a few years ago!

Love your blog, Chris!!! The format is fab! Love to see all the seasons, although I see November more like late autumn nowadays.
The pic of the apples is lovely, really has an autumnal feel..and, crumble!!! Delicious with ice cream!!!!
Glad to see you back! ๐

Balcony thank you so very much for your enthusiastic response. Times are definitely changing and sadly not all for the better!
Kate you have been very kind to me too - thank you!
Those apples have been a massive problem though as there have been so many and we have given many bags away and left dozens outside our house each day for weeks on end!!
What's the betting that next year there will be hardly any!!๐๐๐๐

This year nobody put any spare apples out on walls for passers by to take. I have had to buy my apples at top price in the shops, donโt know why, I โm sure it has been a good apple year. Nice photos of your garden, thanks for showing us.

Oh Feverfew if only I could have given you some of mine! It has been a strange year in so many ways.
11 Nov, 2022
Chris, this is a lovely blog, definitely a strange year for weather and not sure how the wildlife will cope if we suddenly get a big freeze. We walked along Worthing seafront this morning and it could have been a Spring day, very strange for November!

We are up in Troon with the family and it is incredibly mild. I bet you had a really lovely walk by the sea. I do wonder when the weather will change though.
11 Nov, 2022
Chris, friends of ours have a son working as a golf professional in Troon! Enjoy your family time ... :o)
11 Nov, 2022
Itโs a small world! It is a very breezy day in Troon today but very mild!!!

You are a very long way from home then, Wildrose!
Next week may see a change to colder weather - more appropriate for November!

In a way Balcony that is good to hear. Get the scarves and gloves out!!

Shirley, I enjoyed a visit to Worthing also( Fri 11th). I love the โglassโ pictures along the pier. Well worth seeing. High tide & a nice blow along the front, no rain, for once!
12 Nov, 2022
Josie, we only ventured into Worthing as needed to visit a building society, they were less than helpful and said either make an appointment or complete the forms at home ... :o(
The pier is a lovely one on a dry day, glad you enjoyed your time there.

Thanks Chris! xx

Haven't quite got those out yet but I have been forced to put my thermals on! ๐ As well as putting on a heavier coat!

Yes I did have a break from GoY but still kept an eye on it even though I didn't take part.
I am so glad you have come back to us.
24 Nov, 2022
I have taken a break from all forums lately, (sometimes I feel overwhelmed by them so have to have a break) but a longer one from GoY for a different reason.

Nice to see you back Chris!
Your break has done you good!
That is amazing! Winter Jasmine in flower and cyclamens!
I have a small pot of cyclamens and has flowered on and off all year and now has started again!
I still have roses flowering too!
What is the last shrub?
Our neighbour gave us some apples and had apple crumble the other day!
Just love it with hot custard and not worrying about the diet! Haha! xx
