It's happened!!!

It’s happened, the rain has stopped!!
I could hardly believe it when i looked out of my window this morning when I woke up when I saw the sun shining. Its like a summers day out there lol, sun shining, birds singing and my heart smiling because I can actually go and get some work done in the garden today instead of just looking at the rain and wishing I could,. Have to have a cuppa first though. The great british time waster lol!!! But you can’t start the garden without a nice cup of tea, and I notice that in quite a few pictures and on the gardening progs on t.v. that there is often a cup of tea in the background!!
I’m wondering what to tackle first,….. I think it must be deadheading all those matted old flowers that are rotting on the stem because of the rain, then tackle the weeds that haven’t been affected at all by it, in fact like most english weeds the rain only encourages them!! Well at least they will be easy to pull, yes, you guessed right, they are now big enough to pull rather than hoe, well its been two weeks lol!!!!
Then a bit of planting and I will be able to put those two dicentra in more shady places, Ive got a couple of questions i need to ask before I go out today so I am going to leave this blog till I have actually done some work lol, and go and ask my questions in the hope that I have had some responses when I come back in for my second cuppa !!!
Bye all, Oh, might I say I LOVE this site, and in all the time I have been using computers (a long time lol) I have never been a part of such a friendly forum with such giving and caring people.

NOT FAIR! It's all cloudy here, and we are not really that far from Grenville in Bristol! I am still going out to do some edging and weeding, though. I am pleased that you have the sun, but please send it down here!

Not only was it cloudy, folks, but the minute I stepped out of the door with my gardening tools - you've guessed - it rained! I was so cross that my stubborn streak kicked in and I went back in and donned my gardening anorak - and continued! Henry looked disgusted and went in. Can't blame him really.

Lynne, you mention rain in your blog and what happens?
Poor Spritz gets soaked !

Spritz, if you need some snazzy shoes to match your anorak, do please check out Gillian's recent picture.

Lots of lovely bright colours to choose from !

Lynne, this is a good blog.
