Christmas photos

I would like to make a request of as many members as possible. I think it would be great to have people take a photograph of their garden, or just a favorite thing in their garden on Christmas day.
I think it would make a great comparison of the weather and the plants at their best at this time of the year, both in the Northern and Southern hemisphere.
I think a pic of my Rosemary would be good representation of my part of the world right now, for me.
I hope as many members as possible will take me up on my request.

That's a wonderful thought, Wohlibuli. If I don't have a camera available over Christmas, I'll certainly comment and describe how my garden is looking.

We won't be at home for Christmas, but I'll post one when I can. Pity we can't have a 'communal blog' and add the photos one after the other, isn't it! We will have to comment on your blog and then point members to the photo on our page.

Hello W - great idea. I'll try and remember but you know what its like at this time of year .... probably a good idea to refresh the blog on Christmas Eve? Bet there will be lots of members with new cameras to try out on Christmas Day too!

This would be a wonderful snapshot in time! I don't think that there'll be any flowers in our garden, but will find something of interest to capture on 25/12. Gr8 idea, which could be reproduced on some future date as well!!

Maybe we could all do one on June 25th, six months later, maybe even the same garden pic. One in the dead of winter (or summer for those in the southern hemisphere) and the picture in the dead of summer (or winter).!!???

Great idea!
I am glad to get such a response, if we just label them Christmas or December 2008, we can all compare the shots and get an idea of all the different vegetations all over the world. Having another set of shots in June is a wonderful idea and I will try to post a reminder when the time comes.
