Good Day Friday Friday, 19 November 2010

Good morning All

Well that got day 1 over, I think is always the hardest
Thank you to – Littlelegs, Machella, Dido, Bloomer, Tulsalady, & Joanella.

I had not been well for 18 months and the plants in the garden did a good job of looking after themselves. However I manage to keep the weeds down with spray and hoe. I have not got a big garden but it is intensively planted. The right hand side of the garden was in need of a replant. So I am going to start my blog with the re- landscaping of this supported by Photos. The IRIS border

I had a small border of Ten Lilliput bearded Irises that had out grown themselves. I decided that was the place to start
Hope you like them. All my Iris come from a well know French Grower who often takes a prise at Chelsea.
So where Do I begin. I think with the Lilliput collection of small Bearded Irises. I think it will be a more positive start as all my present gardening has stemmed form this point.
Introduction to the Lillipput Irises.
These small irises (20 to 40cm), created at the beginning of the 1950s, flower aprox April 20 to May 10. For 50 years, their diversity has gone on increasing and they are ideal subjects for edging, rock-gardens and slopes. Disease resistant, very prolific, these plants are invaluable in your garden.

Have a nice day All. go safe Stewart
Have a nice weekend.
Will try to see you on Monday

The Irises are stunning Stewart, and are shown off brilliantly against the stone bank, so pleased your feeling better, and look forward to more pictures of your little treasures!
