The Digger came yesterday and cleared the garden, What an amazing piece of machinery…

Look at this baby :)

It lifted roots like a spade in sand :)

The Lads were there to lay the cement,

And the Bricklayer starts tomorrow :) Weather Permitting..

It's surprising how much space you seem to have now it's been cleared. Good luck with all the work.
I'm the same as everyone else now - looking forward to seeing it develop.

Was wondering how things were progressing Dee - glad Saturday was fine for them - not sure about this week though .Great piece of kit the things I could do with that !

Hi Guys, If the Snow stays away the bricklayer will be here early morning, They all worked together brilliantly yesterday, the digger dug out the founds for the B/layer and the guys laying the Paving for the drive were there to do there stuff, A huge wagon took 10 ton of concrete, roots and soil away, all the while they were sweeping the paths and road, we paid £360 for all that yesterday which i thought was very reasonable, Hub has the Huge root from a Conifer to dispose of because the wagon was full, but thats cool, my mind is working overtime BB, Im searching the www for wrought iron Fencing/gate ideas, but theres toooo much choice, i dont want too fancy or too plane, also we think we will have to order the gates first, then save up for the rest :( We will see :) Thanks for your comments all, I have my colour scheme for the plants, Pink, Cream, and Purple, Colours i dont usually go far, but looking at your beautifull gardens on GOY has inspired me to think outside the box hahaha, Thanks Guys, love Dee..

Diggers are amazing. A few years ago we (well, the tree surgeon) took down an ancient and massive flowering cherry but had to leave us with a large stump. I was going to hire a stump grinder to remove it until I found the price. Then I noticed a neighbour going past in his JCB - Ha, an idea! It took him less than five minutes to remove the stump and he wouldn't even accept a bottle for his time.
Have fun with your new garden, Dee
