Sales and Snails

Me and Sis went plant shopping on Friday to a couple of nurseries we found last year, There wasn’t anything worth buying, some Cycleman and heathers, to tell the truth there cheaper in Morrisons..We were really disappointed to come away emptyhanded so i said lets pop into B&Q. WoW there were loads of Tropicals half Price, WooHoo…

I Bought a Fan Palm Washingtonia and a Windmill Palm Trachycarpus fortunei..
My sis also bought a palm, when we got to the till, (one till with a human serving) the man on the till said to sis ill charge you £3 for it!!! WHAT, we were happy at £7 50 half price, When he served me he said, How much do you want to pay! hahahaha, I was speechless, (no comments plz) so £3 each he charged me, What a Guy…

We also bought 2 trays of 24 winter pansies at £4 each..Bargain Eh..

When i got them home I thought id give them a good watering, and decided to take my strawberry and Tomato baskets down to give them a good soak and guess what was living in the Strawberry Basket, I mean how did it climb up there?

Grrrrr

Good man...they should sell you things cheaply rather than have them left there to die off & it makes a nice change that they're not trying to get every penny out of us!
Sounds like Amblealice is off to hoover up what you left behind! Always good to get a bargain.
On the subject of mountain-climbing snails...someone has been scaling the brick wall to my Greek urn with the yellow flowers in & nibbling away every night. I think they can get anywhere! Grrr.

I agree with Fluff, it's so sad when the plants are left to die, or not looked after properly. Much better to sell them off cheaply so they can thrive, plus a bargain is always welcome. You certainly got a bargain Daisy Dee!

Well done you, such bargains.

Great buys for you and your sister daisy! Morrisons do have some really good plants at excellent prices, I bought quite a few from there when I was starting my garden a couple of months ago. I'm trying to grow some winter pansies from seed but there's nothing showing after a month - think I may be buying some too...
