We had a bit of time available before travelling home so we went to Kew Gardens for a few hours.
I was so pleased they had heard I was coming and had rolled out the red carpet…

Nice of them to roll out the red carpet like that...lol..fun!
Liked the pictures ..thank you Arlene.. :) My Hen & chicks (sempervivum) are blooming like theirs too..so pretty..will try and get a picture soon..

Lovely blog Arlene. The red carpet suits your demeanor. I think the yellow flower which you say you don't know the name of is a Phlomis.

Oh Arlene, 'if I knew you were coming I'd have baked a cake', as I'm just down the road.
Lovely photographs, Kew changes so quickly and it's only a few weeks since I was there. Glad you had a good day.

Ginellie~ we usually stay at Kew Bridge Travelodge and have meals at the Coach and Horses on Kew Green.I usually get to visit Richmond for the handmade chocolates and cakes ~and that shopping centre by the National Records office~I like the M and S there!

Many Thanks for this, Arlene. I'll get to visit again, sometime, I hope. You deserve the "red carpet" treatment evry time you visit, lol! We used to also visit Petersham Nurseries in Richmond, it's very photogenic.
