ROSE BORDER FINISHED......

Well here it is, not looking it’s best, but come summer!! if we get one it should be fine…..
We removed all the hardy perennials from the border, moved the roses around, (used root grow just in case) Then planted three different grasses, my favourite Hakonechloa Macra, Carex Comans Bronze, and the black Ophiopogon Nigrescens, have planted three of each, also used some black Ajuga, have put some under the Betula Jacquemonti (multi stemmed).
For colour and flower we have used several different Dianthus……which should go well with the roses, only time will tell!! the new turf has knitted in really well, and having more grass looks so much better….see what you think?
It does not look very exciting at the moment, especially in all this rain, we may add or take out as time goes on, we shall see, the path could do with some better edging, but then that will show up the path, which has seen better days!! hey ho!!

You dont let the grass grow do you Dd. LOL....... brilliant change there, (could you add a before photo at all?) Those grasses will spread out and soften the edge of the path, wont they? I love the little bird bath too.
