The whiskey barrel pond has settled in fairly well, considering it was very dry, and the wood took a lot of swelling…..
The whole border has been completely replanted, we now have 50 pots of perennials waiting for new homes, on the whole we are pretty happy with the result, it will need to settle a tad…
No doubt we will change some of the planting next year, depends on the winter!! we have gone for more shrubs this time, something that will look good all year round….
See what you think………
We have moved the comfortable bench up the garden, so we can watch the dragonflies and the frogs ….
We can now start on Project 2 replant one of the middle borders, all go here!!

Thank you very much Seaburn, we were lucky that we had several fairly large plants that could be moved from around the garden....

SBG & Karen have both echoed my thoughts as I first saw this blog! It really does look as if it had been there for ages!!! You have done a marvellous job & can be very, & rightfully, satisfied with the end result!

Thank you Meadow, Karen and Balcony, for your supporting comments, we were lucky that we had several plants in the garden that needed moving, which were ideal for that area, so it worked out well, I am sure by the time the Summer of 2019 arrives we will have changed a few things.....it wouldn't be us if we didn't!!

It looks beautiful. I have to confess to feeling a bit envious☹️
